What low-moisture cleaning means
CarPET Friendly uses a carbonated, low-moisture process to loosen everyday soil and remove it with professional equipment. Less moisture does not mean no moisture. The method and treatment needed depend on the carpet, its condition and the problem being addressed. See our Ardmore carpet cleaning service for the appointment process.
Plan around drying conditions
Our stated typical dry time is about 3–4 hours for routine cleaning, rather than a guarantee for every room. Humidity, airflow, carpet construction and the amount of treatment can change that timing. Ask about your specific rooms before planning furniture moves or heavy foot traffic. Follow the aftercare instructions given at your appointment and keep furniture protection in place until advised otherwise.
What to tell us before an appointment
- Send a wide photo of each room and close-ups of spots, plus your city and the rooms you want cleaned.
- Tell us about pets, previous water damage and any products already applied. A product name or photo of its label helps.
- Share carpet care or warranty instructions if you have them, especially for wool or specialty materials.
- Confirm furniture-moving expectations and access before the visit. Pick up loose belongings so the areas being cleaned are accessible.
A returning spot needs a closer look
If a mark returns after drying, send a photo and explain when it reappeared. Soil or a spill below the visible surface can require a different approach from routine maintenance. Avoid repeatedly soaking the spot or layering different products. For accidents and odors, review our pet stain and odor treatment options, including the limitations when contamination reaches the pad.
Choose cleaning for the material and the problem
No single method fits every carpet or stain. Check the manufacturer's cleaning requirements and discuss them before choosing a service. Low-moisture maintenance is different from recovering carpet after a leak. If water has reached the pad or floor, start with our wet carpet and flood recovery guide.
Between professional visits
Vacuum regularly, address spills promptly and follow the carpet manufacturer's care instructions. The Carpet and Rug Institute's cleaning and maintenance guidance is a useful starting point. For a spot-cleaning product, follow its label and test in an inconspicuous area first. A rug's fibers, backing and dyes may need different care from installed carpet.
Set realistic expectations
Cleaning cannot reverse fiber wear, bleaching, dye loss or other permanent damage. Photos help start an estimate, but the condition of the material determines what is possible. Review our service policies and discuss any previous treatments before work begins.
